A school teacher, who identifies herself on Twitter as Ms. T, said her class was forced to sit in the dark for about an hour while trying to block the door.

My kids were sitting in the dark and some were crying for about an hour while I barricaded the door with any desk / chair I had, telling the kids, “Okay, everything will be fine.” But the truth is. “I didn’t even know if it would go well,” he said.

“My kids were visibly upset. One of my older students (an athlete) looked at me and said, ‘I’ll be honest, Ms. T, this was one of the most traumatic moments of my life.’

“Despite being between 15 and 16 years old, they are still children and do NOT deserve to go through all this.”

The horrific incident comes just one day after 19 students, a teacher and another adult were killed in a mass shooting at Robb d’Uvalde Primary School on Tuesday.
