An ABC reporter has revealed the innocent explanation of what appeared to be a very embarrassing object in the background of a live Zoom broadcast.
Melbourne business journalist Dan Ziffer appeared on a live broadcast on ABC’s Afternoon Briefing from his home office against the backdrop of a family’s full bookstore.

But between family photos and trinkets, there seemed to be a large black phallic object.
And it didn’t take long for the audience to notice!
A listener called KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O program to inform them of the awkward “mishap.”
“I just look at the TV screen next to me. he called.

Host Kyle Sandilands said the object could be seen “clearly” “at eye level” during the live broadcast.
Meanwhile, Jackie O said, “I can’t think of what else it could be.”
The discussion and media coverage led Ziffer to go to his Twitter page to clarify the assumption about his office articles.
Sharing a picture of the item in question in the foreground revealed that it was actually a Geelong Cats scarf, which had been rolled up on the shelf.

But a Twitter user insisted he should keep his face red.
“You’re going to look for Geelong, what a shame!” He wrote.
But it could have been worse!
Last year, a Texas lawyer was left with a red face after joining a live court videoconference using a computer-generated kitten filter.
The virtual courtroom hearing was arranged to hear a civil matter otherwise. However, when Presidio County Attorney Rod Ponton joined the call, things took an entertaining turn.

Ponton appeared as a fluffy, white, brown, brown-eyed kitten, seemingly unknown to him.
It wasn’t until Judge Roy Ferguson of the 394th Judicial District of Texas broke the news that Ponton began to panic.
“I think you have a filter enabled in your video settings. You may want to …” Judge Ferguson said.
