An ABC reporter has had to dispel rumors that he had a sex toy on his shelf after eagle-eyed spectators saw a suspicious black object during a live cross.
Dan Ziffer of Melbourne appeared on a live broadcast on ABC’s Afternoon Briefing from his office. But among the family photos it looked like a black phallic object.
A listener called KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O program to let them know they had detected the “mishap.”
“I just look at the TV screen next to me. he called.
“I can’t think of what else it could be,” Jackie O. said.
The awkward screenshot quickly hit Twitter, but Ziffer had a much more PG explanation for the questionable object.
The reporter said the item was a Geelong scarf he had bought, and explained that the navy blue and white design created a “bright” effect when folded.
