Amber Heard’s attorney, Elaine Bredehoft, has been seen breaking tears in the bathroom of the Fairfax County Circuit Court in Virginia.
Court attendants revealed on social media that the actress’ lawyer was seen heading to the women’s room “crying” after hearing the final arguments of the high-profile case.
Johnny Depp is suing his ex-wife for $ 50 million ($ 69.6 million), alleging that he defamed him when he was called “a public figure representing domestic abuse” in an article opinion he wrote for The Washington Post.

In a Twitter post, a user said that Bredehoft appeared to be visibly upset when he left court.
“Late after the trial, before the jury returned home, #ElaineBredehoft went to the bathroom crying. We all felt terrible for her,” she wrote.
“After we left, we tried to make her smile. I hope she helped.”
The same Twitter user later added: “We don’t know why he’s crying, but we all noticed how hard it must be for him to deal with all this public attention while defending a customer he probably doesn’t like.”

Depp v Heard: Jury question provokes impressive prediction of senior lawyer’s verdict
Former LA District Attorney Emily D. Baker addressed the reports in a recent live broadcast on her YouTube channel, saying she sympathized with Bredehoft.
“Crying after a case like this, there is no shame, it is a release of emotion,” he said.
“This was going to be a difficult case for Elaine.

“And I’m going to be tough on Elaine because she made fun of Johnny Depp’s voice and there were some other things that I didn’t really like.
“It simply came to our notice then.
“The six – week tests are exhausting.
“So I don’t blame her for crying, it’s a very humane response after a very long test.”
The lawyer, who has become one of the leading commentators on the high-profile defamation case, raised other possible tensions that could have sparked the emotional show.
He speculated that Bredehoft may have felt nervous after his co-lawyer, Ben Rottenborn, spent a lot of time presenting his final argument, giving him little time to deliver his speech to the jury.

“I still think he didn’t have the time to finish,” Baker said.
“I wonder if Rottenborn has turned around.
“I wonder, this is pure speculation, pure speculation, if Rottenborn went above and beyond what he had assigned to close, and I wonder if Elaine sat back to having to pile up everything she needed to say very quickly.
“She doesn’t seem to be doing well under this kind of time pressure, I can understand that.
“Look, there are days when it’s like ‘Oh, we’ve been streaming for three hours, how the hell did this happen?’ I do not know.
“Or was Rottenborn trying to minimize his time in front of the jury? I don’t know. That probably wouldn’t go well behind the scenes. Is it possible? Anything is possible.”
