Apple celebrates the pride with the bands and the face of the rainbow Apple Watch

(Pocket-lint) – Apple has announced new Pride bands and a watch face for the Apple Watch to celebrate Pride Month this June.

The bands are called Pride Edition Sport Loop and Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop. The Pride Edition Sport Loop includes the word “pride” woven into the company’s classic sports loop style. The band has rainbows of different Pride flags, including colors such as light blue, pink, white, black and brown.

(Light blue, pink, and white symbolize transgender and non-binary individuals, while brown and black represent black and Latino communities).

As for the Nike Sport Loop Pride Edition, Apple said it is designed to celebrate “the full spectrum of the rainbow” and includes a matching Nike Bounce face.

The new Pride Edition bands can be purchased for $ 49 at Apple.com and the Apple Store app in the US and UK.

They will be available in Apple Store locations starting May 26, 2022. The Nike Sport Loop Pride Edition will also be available on Nike.com soon.

Finally, the new dial of the Pride watch is also available. Exclusive to Apple Watch Series 4 or later (running watchOS 8.6 or later).

It is also inspired by various Pride flags. Apple said the new watch face “combines colors to represent the strength and mutual support of the LGBTQ + movement.” The face of the watch has colored threads that move when you turn the Apple Watch’s digital crown, touch the screen, or lift your wrist.
