President Biden was taken to a safe place on Saturday afternoon after a plane entered a restricted airspace near his home on Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
After detecting the plane, Biden quickly moved to a nearby fire station.
“Shortly before 1 p.m. today, a privately owned plane entered restricted airspace over Rehoboth Delaware after mistakenly entering a safe area,” the U.S. Secret Service said in a statement. “The plane was immediately escorted out of restricted airspace.”
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the pilot was not on the proper radio channel, did not follow the NOTAMS (notice to aviators) that had been submitted and did not follow the published flight instructions,” officials continued. “The US Secret Service will interview the pilot.”

Shortly after the alarm, the Biden were confirmed safe and at home. The US Secret Service does not believe there is an ongoing threat.
