US stocks and equity futures advanced on Friday as investors gauged whether monetary tightening to tackle inflation in the US and Europe is nearing the mark.
Europe’s Stoxx 600 index gained 0.5% as miners bounced back from higher metal prices. Asian stocks rose the most in two weeks after modest gains on Wall Street pushed the S&P 500 above 4,000 for the first time since late August.
