Casper Ruud will try to become Norway’s first male Grand Slam finalist on Friday after his nightly discussion with fellow Scandinavian Holger Rune.
According to the Danish teenager, Ruud faced him in the locker room after the quarterfinal split that the Norwegian won in four sets.
“He approached me directly and shouted ‘JAAAAA!’ in the face, “Rune told the Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet. “You can cheer on the track all you want and be happy. But that’s such a bad style. Have a little respect.

Ruud’s father, Christian, denied that the incident had taken place, although the party was very tense and ended with the most superficial handshake. “When you’re on a big stage, it might be time to grow a little bit,” Ruud, 23, told VG Norway.
He may never have a better chance of reaching the Roland Garros final than he did on Friday, when he meets world number 23 Marin Cilic, although the 33-year-old Croatian has been in exceptional shape.
The winner of the tournament is still expected to come from the second match. Rafael Nadal will try to advance in a game of fourteen titles in which he has hinted that it could be his last French Open before his retirement. He will play with world number three Alex Zverev of Germany.
Andy Murray made it to the round of 16 of the Surbiton Trophy on Lawn on Thursday. He defeated Dutch left-hander Gijs Brouwer 7-6 7-6, while Jack Draper was upset by British number seven Ryan Peniston 6-7 7-5 6-4.
