An 11-year-old boy who went missing after getting off a bus in north-west Sydney has been found “healthy and safe” by a member of the public after a large-scale search resumed on Thursday morning.

Christopher Wilson, 11, was last seen on Annangrove Road in Annangrove on Wednesday around 3:20 p.m., and was unable to return home.
Her family alerted NSW police who issued geo-targeted text alerts and posted photos of the student on social media.

NSW police warned shortly before 10 a.m. that a member of the public had located him in a nearby area.
“It’s cold, but no visible wounds,” a Facebook post said.
He is being evaluated by paramedics and has been given food.
During the night, a thorough search of the surrounding area was carried out, where temperatures plummeted to 4ÂșC.
Local police officers, assisted by relevant commanders, including fixed-wing aircraft from PolAir, Police Rescue and the SES, searched for properties along the busy road.
His disappearance was considered out of character.
He was last seen in his school uniform, which is a blue T-shirt with maroon and white trim and gray shorts.
The 11-year-old was wearing black and red shoes.
A confirmed view of Christopher walking down Annangrove Rd to Rouse Hill around 4:45 p.m. showed him also wearing a black and white jacket and a black backpack.
A command headquarters was established at the Hills Fire Control Center in Kenthurst.
Police received numerous calls and even urged people in the area to check cutlery and patios.
Motorists traveling on Annangrove Rd between 3:20 pm and 6:00 pm on Wednesday were advised to check the images on the dashboard camera.
