Boris Johnson has suffered his first resignation since the release of Sue Gray’s report on parties blocking the blockade, as a Conservative MP accused him of presiding over a “toxic culture” at No. 10.
Paul Holmes, Eastleigh Conservative MP, resigned from his lower government role as Parliamentary Private Secretary to Priti Patel, the Home Secretary.
He said he was “shocked and angry” by Gray’s report and that the revelations that cleaners and security personnel had been abused were “disappointing and unacceptable”.
Johnson said it was his “duty” as a leader to join in dropping drinks, like this one during the November blockade

In a statement on his website to his constituents, Holmes said the Downing Street parties had caused the electorate to have a “deep distrust” of the government and the Conservative Party.
“As always, I like it
