The center-back has not played for Liverpool since he was injured in the Emirati FA Cup final win over Chelsea at Wembley on 14 May.
Still, he is set to face Real Madrid on Saturday night in Paris.
“Yes, I’m fine, absolutely fine,” Van Dijk told Liverpoolfc.com on Wednesday.
“No problems and very excited for Saturday, of course.”
After missing most of the 2020-21 season due to a serious knee injury, Van Dijk has made 50 appearances with the Reds and eight with the Netherlands so far in the current campaign.
When asked if a two-week break between games could have helped him after such a hectic season, the No. 4 replied, “Yeah, I think physically definitely.
“My body is enjoying a bit of a break after playing so many games, so many moments of tension, and I think getting a little hit after the FA Cup final might have been a sign that my body needed to rest.
“I’m absolutely fine now and look forward to a special night.”
