There is no lost love between Draymond Green and Boston Celtics fans after the last two NBA Finals games at TD Garden.

Green was greeted with boos and vulgar chants during Games 3 and 4. The Golden State Warriors striker became the No. 1 public enemy in Boston after outdoing himself with his physical game in Game 2.

As the series returns to San Francisco for a crucial game 5, Green took a moment to reflect on his eventful trip to Boston. He was asked on his podcast, “The Draymond Green Show,” how TD Garden fans compare to other places in the league.

“They are strong,” Green replied. “They’re pretty strong. They’re very strong. A little nasty. But Cleveland fans were nasty too. Now, I think these people, they’re in charge of the cake. But yeah, it’s strong.

“I mean, you’re trying to win a championship. It should be strong. Fans should get into it. And that’s how I respect it and after the series I’ll be grateful. But for now, you know what’s going on. Them.”

Green might think of “hateful” as an insult, but you can bet Celtics fans are proud to have won the “most nasty” title. It is worn as a badge of honor by these parties.

There’s no doubt that the TD Garden crowd had an impact on Green’s game. The four-time All-Star missed the 3rd game with just two points, then shot 1 of 7 from the ground in the 4th game. Unfortunately for the C’s, Golden State was able to split the two games in Boston and get it. a 2-2 series that returns to Chase Center.

Game 5 is scheduled to be scored just after 9pm ET on Monday.
