According to reports, the queen’s agents told Harry and Meghan “no chance” when the couple asked for a photograph of the monarch meeting their son Lilibet for the first time.

The revelation of the denied photograph came when Harry and Meghan posted their own photo of their daughter to celebrate their first birthday.

The Sussex broadcast the image Monday night, the day after the official end of the Jubilee celebrations. He showed that Lilibet had inherited his father’s red hair.

The photo was taken at his home in Windsor, Frogmore Cottage, by Misan Harriman, a photographer who has taken previous personal photographs of the couple and their family.

“They were told there was no chance. It was a private family reunion.”

He Ground reported that while the Queen was meeting with Harry and Meghan’s daughter on Thursday, when they were briefly in the UK for the Jubilee, no photos were taken of the meeting.

The Daily Beast previously reported that sources had said it was very unlikely that such an image would be broadcast.

He Ground he quoted a source as saying that members of the royal family were nervous about a photograph of the meeting in case it ended up on US television networks.

A privileged person told the newspaper: “Harry and Meghan wanted their photographer to capture the moment when Lilibet met the queen.

“But they were told there was no chance. It was a private family reunion.”

The Sussex’s relationship with the queen is believed to have been damaged when the couple named their daughter Lilibet, the queen’s nickname when she was little, without first asking permission.

Denying an official photo with the queen was just one of many games played to Harry and Meghan throughout the jubilee.

The couple left the UK on a private jet before the main event began on the last day, a pageant in honor of the Queen on the streets of London, and were on the air when Her Majesty appeared on the balcony of the Buckingham Palace.

A friend of the royal family described his hasty departure as seeking attention and anger, and told The Daily Beast, “Would it have killed them to wait a few hours?”

They were seen in public only once in the course of the Jubilee celebrations, attending a Thanksgiving service for the Queen’s reign. Audible boos were heard among the most common cries as they climbed the steps of St. Paul’s Cathedral, and they sat away from important members of the royal family such as Charles and William. The video for the event seems to show Meghan turning around as Kate walks past her.
