Some users have reported experiencing issues with Instagram stories on iOS where they are forced to view all of a contact’s stories more than once before they can view new ones. I have not encountered this problem myself, but there are several reports on Reddit about the problem.
However, the problem should have disappeared by now. Instagram posted an app update to the iOS App Store that seems to have fixed the issue.
A Meta spokesman told The Verge in an email that the company is “aware that some people have trouble accessing Instagram stories” and is “working to get things back to normal as soon as possible.” .
The solution comes with the “version 239.1” of Instagram’s iOS app.
