Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp has been named Barclays Premier League season coach and has won the Sir Alex Ferguson Trophy for LMA Coach of the Year.
Liverpool took the title race to the finish line, scoring 92 points and finishing runners-up in Manchester City, Premier League champions, by a single point, as they came close to winning the quadruple than any other English team in history. .
Reflecting on the climax of the Premier League season as he accepted his award, Klopp said: “It’s a great honor and it was a crazy season. The last day in which only two games didn’t make sense, rest, we all played absolutely everything.
“It was a little nervous, it wasn’t the best result for us, but we’ve already beaten it. And when you win an award like this you’re either a genius, or you have the best coaching staff in the world – I’m here with four of the my coaching staff, and they know how much I appreciate them. “
