There are so many reasons why Liverpool do not want to lose Sadio Mane.
The 30-year-old Senegal international has enjoyed perhaps his best season, inspiring his country to victory in the final of the Africa Cup of Nations and qualifying for this year’s World Cup. He also helped the Reds win the FA Cup and EFL Cup, scoring 23 goals at club level.
Mane is at the helm of his game, but Liverpool may have no choice but to sell him this summer. He reportedly wants to leave the club and is about to enter his final year of contract. However, Liverpool have a solution to this dilemma: sign Robert Lewandowski.

The current Bayern Munich club, 33, is believed to be leading the race for Mane’s signing and is expected to offer Liverpool £ 25 million soon. This offer will be rejected, although it is believed that the Reds will accept about 42.5 million pounds for the striker.
That would still be a bargain for Mane, who is arguably one of the best players in Europe. While this is good news for Bayern, the Germans are worried about losing Lewandowski after he publicly declared his desire to leave Bavaria.
“What is certain right now is that my career at Bayern is over,” Lewandowski told reporters. “I don’t see any chance of continuing my career at this club. Seeing what we can do in the next two weeks, I don’t want to continue at the club.”

Barcelona is leading the race for the Polish international, who only has one year left on his current contract, as does Mane. Still, Liverpool should make a move for Lewandowski and propose a changeover deal with Bayern for Mane … if they can’t convince him to stay.
Despite his years of advancement, Lewandowski’s goal-scoring ability cannot be questioned. The FIFA double-player of the year has found the back of the net 50 times for Bayern this season to win his second consecutive European Golden Boot.
Lewandowski would be a fantastic signing for Liverpool and a great substitute for Mane after the Reds’ ace was turned center forward by Klopp this season. The German coach is also a big fan of Lewandowski after coaching him at Borussia Dortmund.

The Polish striker scored 103 goals in four seasons with Klopp in the German giants, helping them win two Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal titles. He also sent off Dortmund in the Champions League final in 2013, where they ironically lost 2-1 to Bayern at Wembley.
Klopp even described Lewandowski as his best player in history when asked last year. “Actually, it won’t be fair to say that from any other player except Lewy,” he said. “What he has done to his potential, how he pushed himself to become the player he is today, is extraordinary. Lewy took all the steps he needed to be that goal machine.”
The equation is simple. Mane seems to want to leave Liverpool and Bayern are interested. Lewandowski wants to leave Bayern and Klopp is a big fan. If the Reds can’t persuade Mane to stay, a swap deal with Lewandowski makes perfect sense.
