Legendary American rapper Master P says he is “overwhelmed with grief” when he announced the sudden death of his young daughter.
Rapper Master P is “overwhelmed with grief” after announcing that his 29-year-old daughter Tytyana Miller has died after battling “mental illness” and “substance abuse.”
“Our family is facing overwhelming grief over the loss of my daughter Tytyana,” Master P, 52, wrote Monday in a heartbreaking Instagram post.
“We respectfully ask for some privacy so that our family can cry.”
He Bourbons and Lakes The rapper added that he is grateful to those who have supported him while he and his family mourn the loss, adding that Tytyana was dealing with mental health issues and substance abuse.
“Mental illness and substance abuse are a real problem we can’t be afraid to talk about,” he wrote.
Master P’s 32-year-old son Romeo also shared that his sister was crying in an Instagram post.
“We appreciate all the prayers, love and support, and while these are sad times, I am forever grateful for the memories I had with my amazing sister,” she wrote Sunday. “Love your loved ones, life is short. The silver lining, I know it is in a better place and finally in peace and free. God bless you.”
Fellow rapper Snoop Dogg wrote in the Master P post, “I’m here for you and your family. Be strong.”
Fans of Master P and Romeo also flooded the comment sections with words of encouragement and prayers.
“Let him rest in peace and let anyone who is fighting at this time ask for help,” one person commented in the post.
“I am just sorry I lost. [sic] Prayers for you and your family, “wrote a second person.
“Mental health is real. Lord knows. I’m living it. God, please be with you and your family Master P. # Condol ”, added a third.
Master P shared Tytyana with his separated wife, Sonya C.
They also have six children together: Romeo, 32, Inty, 29, Vercy, 30, Italy, 23, Hercy, 20, and Mercy, 16.
The rapper also has a 25-year-old daughter, Cymphonique, and a 31-year-old son, Veno, from previous relationships.
He and Sonya C were married in 1989, but she filed for divorce in 2013. In 2021, they legally declared themselves single.
