A Russian television personality with close ties to Vladimir Putin has threatened Britain, claiming that the tyrant’s invasion could extend as far as Stonehenge.
Firebrand presenter Vladimir Solovyov, known as “Putin’s Voice,” said Russia could invade Britain and target Boris Johnson’s Secretary of State Liz Truss, the Daily Mirror reported.
When asked by Ukrainian political analyst Vasil Vakarov where Putin’s savage regime would stop the war, he replied: “Well, when we have to do it, we will do it.
“Where will we stop? Well, as I said today, maybe Stonehenge. Liz Truss says she’s the one fighting the war. “
The British Foreign Secretary has been in the spotlight of Russian media rhetoric in recent months over his unwillingness to commit to Putin.
Prior to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the Foreign Minister mocked his Moscow counterpart Sergei Lavrov, who said after talks with her that it was “like a conversation with a deaf person. “which is here, but don’t listen”.
Solovyov also claimed that Putin should attack Kyiv a few weeks after Russian forces felt embarrassed after being ordered to withdraw from the capital and its environs after encountering strong Ukrainian resistance.
Putin Solovyov’s loyalist has been the target of sanctions and has lost two mansions on Lake Como in Italy due to the invasion.
Earlier statements on Russian television against Britain included a former MP, Yuri Shvytkin, who claimed that Moscow could end “the whole of the UK in two minutes” with nuclear weapons.
