Neergabby and Mt Barker: Car Accidents Over the Weekend Kill 15-Year-Old Girl and Thirty-Year-Old Man

A 15-year-old girl has died in a head-on crash in north Perth, while a man has been killed in a collision with a truck near Mt Barker, in what has been a weekend of terror in the Washington Highways.

Police say the 15-year-old was a passenger in a silver Subaru Outback, driven by a 17-year-old man, who was driving west on Gingin Brook Road when he collided with a blue Holden Colorado traveling toward east by the same road. near Cowalla Road in Neergabby, about 85 km north of Perth, on Saturday at 12.40pm.

The 17-year-old driver and the 23-year-old Holden driver were taken to Royal Perth Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Tragically, the 15-year-old girl died at the scene due to the injuries she suffered in the accident.

It happened when a 32-year-old man died after his white Toyota Hilux collided with a white Iveco International truck on Albany Road, north of Mt Barker, at 10:20 a.m. Saturday.

Police say the 32-year-old was traveling north on the highway and the truck was heading south when the vehicles collided. He died at the scene.

The 56-year-old truck driver and his 74-year-old passenger were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Major accident detectives are investigating both accidents.
