NRL Late Mail: Round 13
Titans v Cowboys, Thursday at Cbus Super Stadium
Titans: No late changes are expected for the Titans, who face off in the showdown without skipper Tino Fa’asuamaleaui or David Fifita. Moeaki Fotuaika is back with a boost, while Beau Fermor is included to play despite receiving a blow last week.
Cowboys: Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and Murray Taulagi have been released from the Maroons camp and will play for Todd Payten’s team. Coen Hess moves from lock to kick to accommodate the return of Jason Taumalolo, Helium Luki starts with an advantage and the versatile Connelly Lemuelu arrives on the bench. Taumalolo is expected to play after losing last week to a knee injury.
Panthers v Bulldogs, Friday at PointsBet Stadium
Panthers: Apisai Koroisau will start as a hooker despite being named to the extended Blues squad. Robert Jennings and Charlie Staines join the bottom line of Stephen Crichton and Brian To’o, while Chris Smith and Matt Eisenhuth replace Liam Martin and Isaah Yeo. Sean O’Sullivan returns as a midfielder for Nathan Cleary.
Bulldogs: Raymond Faitala-Mariner has been promoted to the starting team with Tevita Pangai jnr not available. Corey Allan has been named in the reserves, but could enter the sidelines on Friday, possibly replacing Matt Dufty on the sidelines.
Sea Eagles v Warriors, Saturday at 4 Pines Park
Sea eagles: Jason Saab (leading) is expected to return, while Taniela Paseka could also be a late inclusion after appearing as the 18th man in her first match after a long-term knee dismissal. Josh Schuster starts in the halves instead of Daly Cherry-Evans, who is out of the tasks of Origin.
Warriors: Hooker Wayde Egan (knee) and back rower Bayley Sironen (pubic osteitis) have been named to return in a push for the Warriors looking to avoid a fifth loss at a trot. After debuting at the club last week, Dunamis Lui has been named among the subsidiaries and is not expected to play.
Raiders v Roosters, Sunday at GIO Stadium
Raiders: Matt Frawley played five eighths in rounds 9 and 10 when Wighton was suspended and regained the No. 6 shirt while Corey Horsburgh moves to the starting lineup. Corey Harawira-Naera joins the bench along with Trey Mooney, who will make his NRL debut. James Schiller passes to 18th man.
Roosters: Joseph Suaalii is expected to play despite receiving a header and joining the Blues squad this week. Joseph Manu is on the sidelines to cover James Tedesco, so Kevin Naiqama is the new center-back, but he could change with Billy Smith on the day of the match (who was appointed to the band). With Lindsay Collins in the Maroons field, Siosiua Taukeiaho takes the lead and Sitili Tupouniua enters the starting lineup.
