One pedestrian seriously injured in the Scarborough incident: Police

A pedestrian was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following an incident in Scarborough on Friday morning.

It happened near Eglinton Avenue and Kennedy Road around 10:40 a.m.

Paramedics say the woman, who is believed to be in her 70s, was taken to a trauma center in a serious condition but was not life-threatening.

Police initially said the woman was hit by a fall signal, but later said it was not.

The Ministry of Labor will go to the scene, according to police.
