A Merseyside man who left a 92-year-old grandmother with serious leg injuries after crashing his BMW into his home was previously jailed for kidnapping.
Edna Kearns was trapped in her bedroom after Michael Vose’s BMW destroyed her bungalow in the early hours of the morning. Neighbors thought a “bomb had exploded” because of the magnitude of the damage. Vose was arrested when police arrived at the scene.
The photographs showed a BMW X6 completely embedded in the house, and emergency workers had to carefully remove Mrs. Kearns from the rubble. Vose, who later pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm and causing criminal property damage, is scheduled to be convicted.

ECHO can now reveal that Vose was previously jailed in connection with a drug debt-related kidnapping plot. In 2015, Mold Crown Court heard Vose travel to Prestatyn in North Wales with a second man to collect a £ 10,000 debt.
The court learned that the two Merseyside men had accused a local man of stealing a cannabis crop in Liverpool worth around £ 10,000. He was threatened, told to get in the car and told that he would be taken to Liverpool and that his father would have to withdraw the money.
The two men managed to carry the victim inside Vose’s Volvo and then marched to Liverpool. But the victim of the hijacking managed to jump when the car stopped at traffic lights and ran to a nearby house where he sounded the alarm.
Vose and the second man were arrested when police stopped their Volvo on A550 Welsh Road in Deeside. Prosecutor Kim Halsall told the court the victim was clearly threatened.
The victim was told he could go “one of two ways: very good or very bad” and that his father had two days to get the £ 10,000. He was told he could end up in hospital for a long time.
Vose and his co-defendant were found guilty of kidnapping and blackmail after a trial.
Vose was jailed for 40 months.

Speaking after the men were jailed, Detective Dean Jones said: “This was a very traumatic incident for the victim and I am satisfied with the sentences imposed.
“I hope this sends a message to others that this type of crime, which is fortunately uncommon in North Wales, is totally unacceptable and we will do everything we can to bring these individuals to justice and protect our community.”
Emergency services were called to White Horse Grove in Bolton, Greater Manchester, during the early hours of November 28 last year. They found a black BMW X6 completely embedded inside a bungalow surrounded by rubble that includes bricks and a radiator.
Vose was seen walking nearby and arrested.
Edna Kearns was discharged from the hospital earlier this year, but died at Royal Bolton Hospital on April 8.
The landslide occurred on the way to a mini-roundabout at the intersection of Chew Moor Lane and Bolton Road. The scale of the crash shocked residents.
Local woman Jean Partington said she had just woken up when she heard “two fantastic beats”.
She said: “I thought it was a bomb.
“I went to the window and couldn’t see anything because it was dark. I heard a voice shouting, so the police called.
“When I left, all I could see was devastation. It was terrifying.”
Vose, of Mount Pleasant Avenue, St. Helens, has admitted to causing serious driving injuries and causing property damage to property. He will also be convicted of causing actual bodily harm to another woman and damaging her closet and wall.
The St Helens man, who was arrested after the crash, will be sentenced on July 1 to Bolton Crown Court.
