Authorities searching for a fugitive convict have found five people dead at a home in Leon County, Texas. Gonzalo Lopez, a convicted murderer, escaped custody on May 12, stabbing a correctional officer and fleeing on foot. Authorities, who have been searching for Lopez, 46, have since said a 911 caller said Thursday evening they could not contact an elderly relative. Following the call, law enforcement officers went to the home of the elderly, where they found the bodies of two adults and three children. According to law enforcement, Lopez may have taken a 1999 white Chevrolet truck from the victims’ home and may have been armed.
