SA police are looking for a stolen car with a four-month-old boy in the back seat in Adelaide.
A 2009 white Honda Jazz hatchback, with the S619AXE registration, is said to have been stolen from Fourth Avenue, Klemzig, around 7:45 p.m.
The owner, a woman, was just putting her son in the back seat when a man stopped with a stolen Mazda and changed cars.
“It seems random at this stage,” Senior General Cullinan told ABC Radio Adelaide.
“It looks like they threw a car and literally tried to catch another, so there’s no indication that these people know each other.”
The stolen Honda was last seen heading to Windsor Grove, which is at the east end of Fourth Avenue.
The man has been described as Caucasian, about 20 years old and with dark hair.
Police have asked anyone watching Honda Jazz to call 131 444.
Senior Agent Cullinan urged people not to try to drive the car themselves.
