Emma Raducanu saw on Wednesday that Aliaksandra Sasnovich ruthlessly ended her hopes of glory at the French Open. The Briton entered the game in hopes of making the third round of the competition. However, despite winning the first set, he ended up leaving the competition.
Raducanu won the first set 6-3 on Wednesday, with the 12th seed operating at full power at the time.
But Sasnovich bounced back to make it another disappointing Grand Slam for the 19-year-old, who worked at the Australian Open in January.
Raducanu is now being criticized for his decision to join Roland Garros without a coach.
And that makes Roger Federer’s warning about his treatment even more true.
In September, just as Raducanu was making his way to the glory of the U.S. Open, the Swiss master warned of the dangers that criticism of young athletes can pose to their mental health.
Federer said: “The stress is very great. And I think a lot of things have to depend on social media: in the first ten years of my life there were no social media, maybe I only had one website, then ten years following social media was everywhere.

“We need a revolution. Or at least an evolution of where we are today.
“I think we need to help, train and guide the younger generation.
“I can’t imagine going through the beginning of my career with social media; I have no idea how I would have handled it.
“For every ten pleasant comments, there is always a negative comment, and of course that’s what you’re focusing on. It’s a horrible situation.
“Even when I feel depressed, I know I have to act in a certain way in front of the world press.
“We have to remember that tennis players are athletes and professionals, but we are also human.”

While there is no denying that Raducanu has been disappointed since winning the US Open, the Briton is still learning her craft at such a young age.
No one expected him to reign supreme in a Grand Slam so early in his professional tennis career.

Raducanu obviously needs a new coach to help him climb even higher in the future.
But after separating from four coaches in recent months, the 19-year-old has every right to devote herself to her next move.
The French Open has never been an easy competition for the British, probably due to the lack of clay tracks in the UK.
And he says that the last British man to claim glory in Paris was Sue Barker, who won the title in 1976.
Raducanu, meanwhile, admitted he felt he had a “goal in his back” after his defeat to Sasnovich.
He said after the defeat: “I think some parts of my tennis game have improved compared to last year.
“It’s different when you’re someone who can have a goal in his back. Everyone increases their game, they want to play well, they want to beat you, get out.
“This is something I definitely learned on this year’s tour and I accepted it.
“I feel like I’m not approaching things in a crazy different way off the track. I’m exactly the same person I was 12 months ago.
“Things around me have changed, but I’m the same person. I just feel like I have a lot more awareness and experience now.”
And he insisted he has come a “long way” in just one year, adding: “We were talking to my team this morning, it’s almost a year since my return to competitive tennis.
“I think I’ve come a long way since then. I think I really like going for the second time.
“I think this year it will always be a challenge for me to adapt, to find my feet. There is always something new.
“It simply came to our notice then. I have no idea where everything is. “
