A car turned sideways at a crowded roundabout south of Manchester on Wednesday afternoon. The incident prompted a large response from emergency services on Birchfields Road (A34) in Fallowfield shortly before 1:30 p.m.
Police assisted and guided the congestion of the building while paramedics remained at the scene. Popular bus routes have also had to be temporarily diverted from the city center, causing delays of almost half an hour.
Paramedics were seen attending to the scene. The Northwest Ambulance Service later confirmed that a woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A spokesman for the Northwest Ambulance Service said: “We received a call on 999 at 1:19 p.m. We took a woman to the hospital with minor injuries.”

Announcing the news, Stagecoach tweeted that its 50 service, which connects Media City with East Didsbury, was forced to temporarily divert.
They wrote: “We are sorry to warn you that some trips are experiencing delays of up to 25 minutes, this is due to the diversion with the RTC to Birchfields Rd, please allow more time for your trip with us this afternoon.
“Moseley Road services will be submerged along Old Hall Lane, Wilmslow Road and Moseley Road in both directions until the incident is resolved.”
