A finalist for The Voice Australia has raised his eyebrows suggesting that Lachie Gill won the singing competition for her white privilege.
Melbourne physical education teacher Lachie, 24, the only white finalist in the top four, received the majority of votes from the audience during the season finale on Sunday night.
Reacting to his victory, runner-up Faith Sosene, 25, shared a post on Instagram hinting that she won because her ethnicity made her “perfect” for Australia.

“We already knew Australia would love you and pick you! You’re just perfect for them,” Faith wrote next to a photo of Lachie.
Labeling fellow finalists Thando Sikwila, 29, and Jordan Tavita, 23, he added: “We need to work harder for future generations to win. Let’s get to work.
Faith later edited her Instagram post, deleting the words “for them,” so the phrase said, “You’re just perfect.”
His reference to “working harder for future generations” was also removed.

Faith and Jordan are of Samoan descent, while their finalist Thando is from Zimbabwe.
Lachie has taken to the road, posting a tribute to Faith, Jordan and Thando on Instagram on Monday morning.
