The father of a missing Ontario child says 11-year-old boy “could be hiding anywhere” as search intensifies

The father of an 11-year-old Ontario boy who went missing Sunday said his son “could be hiding anywhere” as police step up their search efforts.

Draven Graham, who lives with autism, was last seen Sunday at around 3pm at his Queen Street home in Lindsay, Ont.

He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and dark jogging pants, no shoes and a white tablet. He is described as four feet 10 inches tall with a slender build.

Speaking to reporters outside the Kawartha Lakes police service on Monday morning, Sgt. Deb Hagarty said there was no indication that Draven had been abducted.

He said he has been seen walking north along Colborne Street East near Rivera Park since he disappeared.

Draven’s father, Justin Graham, told CTV News Toronto that his son left home while shaving in the bathroom on Sunday morning.

“I wasn’t on the couch, where I was before I got in,” he said. “I asked my daughter if she was in her room and she said ‘no’.”

She said she then went to the front door, but realized it was open.

“When I ran out the door, I realized it was unlocked and I had another latch on top, so I managed to fix everything at once to open the door.”

Police in several jurisdictions, including the OPP, along with volunteers, searched overnight for Draven, who has limited verbal skills and severe irritation to the touch.

Search engines remain on foot and by boat. They also use a drone, a helicopter and police dogs.

“It could be under something, it could be in something, it could be in a later trailer, it could be hidden anywhere,” Graham said.

Part of Draven’s clothes have since been recovered in the area where he disappeared. Graham said he suspects that as it rained, his son got wet, which he dislikes, and took off his clothes.

“He doesn’t like being wet on clothes, most autistic kids don’t like it,” he said.

Police are also asking anyone with video surveillance in this area to contact them. People in the area are also being asked to look for Draven on their properties.

Anyone who has seen Draven Graham is asked to call Kawartha Lakes Police at 705-324-5252.
