The death of blonde TV presenter Erin Jayne Plummer surprised many, and her friends have now confirmed her heartbreaking cause of death.
TV presenter and news presenter Erin Jayne Plummer has been confirmed to have committed suicide after a battle with a mental illness.
Plummer, best known for her regular morning TV appearances, died suddenly at the end of last week.
The Daily Mail reports that Plummer’s heartbroken friends have since said they wish they had done more to “help bear the weight of his pain”.
The cause of Plummer’s death had not been publicly known before, but a Facebook page created in his memory did include the phone number of the Lifeline Suicide and Crisis Prevention Organization.
The 42-year-old woman leaves behind her husband and three young daughters.

Friends gathered on Sydney’s freshwater beach on Wednesday morning to pay their respects to the much-loved television personality.
Dozens of them were seen together in the sand as the sun rose, and attendees were encouraged to bring “red frogs and a cheap cup of BP coffee, things they loved.”
The Freshwater Surf Club chaplain was also present to offer support and comfort to “everyone who needs it”.
Plummer was known for her TVSN commercials and also appeared regularly on both Today Extra i Study 10.
Study 10 Hosts Sarah Harris and Angela Bishop on Monday announced the death of their roommate in a tribute.
Harris described her as a “magnificent human inside and out,” who told viewers that the show had “lost some shine” as a result of her death.
“The weekend, Study 10 We lost some shine with our friend and presenter Erin Jayne who died suddenly, “Harris said.
“For two decades, Erin Jayne has been a friendly, familiar face on Australian television, for much of that she has been brightening up our mornings with her bustling personality and megawatt smile.
“Erin was just a gorgeous human inside and out, and if it weren’t for television, Erin Jayne might have had a sporting career.
“He represented Australia in synchronized swimming and even surfing to save lives.
“There is no doubt that Erin Jayne was a great winner and certainly a mother gold medalist for her three daughters. We will miss your sun around the Erin Jayne studio, and all of us who are here we are sending a lot of love and strength to his family “.
In the meantime, a GoFundMe page has also been set up to raise money for Erin’s family.
The fundraiser has now raised more than $ 25,000 with more than 100 donations, including $ 10,000 from Australian TV entrepreneur Harry Michaels.
