Friends gathered on Sydney’s freshwater beach on Wednesday morning to pay their respects to the much-loved television personality.

Dozens of them were seen together in the sand as the sun rose, and attendees were encouraged to bring “red frogs and a cheap cup of BP coffee, things they loved.”

The Freshwater Surf Club chaplain was also present to offer support and comfort to “everyone who needs it”.

Plummer was known for her TVSN commercials and also appeared regularly on both Today Extra i Study 10.
