The remake of Last of Us is officially happening. Following a leak earlier in the day, Summer Game Fest Live has confirmed that The Last of Us Part 1 is being remade for both PS5 and PC. The revelation came after a playStation Store list of the game was soon discovered, with a trailer accompanying it. As the rumor suggests, the game is slated to release on September 2 for PS5 (and PC later).
The game has been “created from scratch for PlayStation 5” and will also feature updated and improved AI and 60 fps support, among other improvements. It was also revealed that in addition to a PlayStation 5 release, The Last of Us will also hit PC, although the release date was not included in the trailer. However, the developers said that it will arrive on PC “shortly” after the release of PS5. The Left Behind DLC is included with the remake of The Last of Us, but not multiplayer: Naughty Dog is working on a standalone multiplayer game from Last of Us, he confirmed.

The Last of Us 1 will receive a remake on PS5
There are several editions of the game on the way, including the Standard Edition ($ 70), the Digital Deluxe ($ 80) and the Firefly Edition ($ 100). The Digital Deluxe Edition includes an “early unlock” of these items:
- Increased processing speed
- Increased healing rate
- Update to increase the recharging speed by 9 mm
- Upgrade to increase rifle clip capability
- Explosive Arrow Game Modifier

- Speedrun mode

The Firefly edition, which will only be available in the United States via direct.playstation.com, includes these first releases, a Steelbook case, and the 1-4 comics of Last of Us: American Dreams with new art.
In addition, pre-orders for any version of the remake of The Last of Us for PS5 include these items:

- Additional weapon parts to upgrade your arsenal
The Firefly edition has even more content
Set in a post-apocalyptic America, The Last of Us follows a man named Joel and his partner Ellie, with a hot, daughter-like head as they roam the country in search of a cure for the fungal outbreak that devastates the world. The game received critical acclaim when it was released in 2013, with GameSpot’s review of The Last of Us calling it “a unique adventure that looks humanity in the eye and doesn’t blink.”
Sony released a version of the game Last of Us Remastered in 2014. Some of Naughty Dog’s other projects include the aforementioned multiplayer game Last of Us and something new from director Neil Druckmann.
