Until 2022 we have seen new phones the size of Samsung, Apple and Oppo, with the confirmation of Google, another Pixel addressed us soon and rumors were also circulating about the iPhone 14. Every few months it seems that there is a phone us. asking to be ours.
But what does everyone really use in the Gizmodo Australia office? We researched a bit. Here’s what we use and why.
The phones we will use in 2022
iPhone 13

I am now with an iPhone 13, which was an important step compared to my old iPhone 8. I kept the 8 as the start button, but now I am Face ID until the end. – Lauren
iPhone 6

I use the most broken iPhone 6 in the world because I lose / break phones constantly, so I can’t justify the money for a new one knowing that the cycle will only repeat itself. Also, I don’t use social media, so I don’t see the point in having the latest / greatest camera or screen when I use it more functionally than for entertainment. – Isabella
Samsung a50

I’m on a Samsung a50, which I hate, but I have strict rules for buying phones or else I’d buy myself something brilliant every year. Run it until the gang breaks. – Matthew
iPhone 13 mini

Right now I use the iPhone 13 Mini because the phones are too big. I am serious. In fact, if I could have it smaller, I would happily do so (the iPhone 5 was my favorite size). I like being able to use a phone with one hand for all purposes. I also liked the ASUS Zenfone 8, but I didn’t end up having any. “Zac.”
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE

I’m also kind of a “run it until it breaks”. I recently upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE after picking up the Samsung Galaxy S9 in 2018. I take very good care of my phones (I don’t drop them), so most of the ones I have last about four years. . I will not update mine until it is noticeably delayed. Now I’m back with the S20 FE. – Beautiful
iPhone 12

Do I have something weird in which I update all even numbers for some reason? so I had the 4, 6, 8, X and 12. – Josie
iPhone 11

I had an iPhone 6 that I only upgraded to when it finally broke a year after the 11th arrived. The current plan is to run this on the ground in time for the iPhone 16. – David
iPhone 13 Pro Max

In my review of the 13 Pro Max I said it was too big. I thought I would do well and since I did, I haven’t gone back. It’s like having a small iPad in your pocket that takes great soul photos. Sorry, Zac, the bigger the better for phones. – Asha
Google Pixel 6 Pro

I use two phones and asking myself to choose between the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the Google Pixel 6 Pro is like asking me to choose a favorite child. Both are different enough that I can’t compare them. – Asha
