Five firefighters are fighting a fire in a multi-storey car park in Pontypridd. The office block and five-story car park in the city center on Catherine Street – home to the Trivallis housing association – have been on fire since just before 8pm on Tuesday.

Images of the drones show thick black smoke coming out of the flames on the roof of the building at 8 p.m. The incident closed Catherine Street while crews responded to the blaze.
Aloy Lloyd Davies, who lives nearby, said: “It looked bad, but now it looks like it’s going out. It looks like it came from the air conditioning unit, so I guess it could have been an electrical cause of the fire. close Catherine Street and Upper Church Street. “
