The UN is facing China over a dossier on the situation of Uighurs in Xinjiang

The top human rights representative has been urged to investigate allegations that China pursued a policy of firing to kill Uighur Muslim prisoners who tried to escape their brutal “re-education” camps.

UN Commissioner Michelle Bachelet is on a six-day trip to China to coincide with the release of a cache of official documents that were hacked into police computers and leaked online.
