The young girl, whose remains were found in the Toronto container last month, was “unlikely” to be reported missing, according to police.

Toronto police say it is “unlikely” that a girl whose remains were found in a container at the Rosedale building last month has “ever been reported missing.”

On May 2, police responded to a call in the Castle Frank Road and Dale Avenue area around 4:45 p.m.

Police said human remains were found in a container outside a house.

A couple of days later the autopsy was performed and investigators confirmed that the remains belonged to a black girl of African or mixed descent, who was between four and seven years old.

He had all his teeth, was three feet six inches tall, of thin complexion, and black curly hair sectioned into four short ponytails, two of which were braided and secured with black and blue elastic bands.

Investigators believe the remains were left in the bin between 12 noon on Thursday 28 April and 4:45 pm on Monday 2 May.

However, police believe the girl may have died last summer, or perhaps even earlier.

Police said his remains were wrapped in a crochet blanket inside a plastic bag and that the bag was wrapped in a colored blanket. Police released an image of that blanket.

On Tuesday, police provided an update on the human remains investigation and said they had not yet identified the girl.

The Ontario Center for Missing Persons and Unidentified Remains analyzed its DNA against missing children reported across Canada. The agency found 58 potential matches across the country, but was unable to connect the girl with any of these cases.

“There is no evidence linking any of the 58 missing children to our case. And in fact, eight of the 58 have been counted since May 2. Unfortunately, we believe that the child in Dale is unlikely to be counted. Avenue has never been gone, “Inspector Hank Idsinga told a news conference on Tuesday afternoon.

Idsinga added that police do not rule out the possibility that the victim may have been reported missing abroad and that the investigation will continue.

Police also released composite sketches of the girl and a vehicle of interest on Tuesday.

Idsinga said the girl’s skin tone is an approximation and may not be entirely accurate.

The vehicle of interest was captured on video stopping in the container area on April 28 at 10:26 p.m. It is described as a dark colored Porsche Cayenne SUV, model year 2011-2014.

“That car is literally captured by the camera on Dale Avenue in the container area just in the period of time we believe the body was thrown there and inexplicably stopped right next to the container for about 21 seconds. “Of course, we want to identify this car. Maybe there’s a perfectly innocent explanation for why it stopped here, but maybe not.”

Idsinga said the cause of the girl’s death has not yet been determined and is still under investigation.

“Of course, the results of the toxicology will take some time. But if there is no obvious cause of death, the forensic pathologist has a lot of work to do to try to determine that cause of death. And it can be something that can remain undetermined for quite some time. said Idsinga.
