Thirteen people shot and two killed in a shooting on South Street in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) – At least 13 people were shot dead and two were killed after a mass shooting Saturday night on South Street in Philadelphia.

It all started shortly before midnight at the intersection with Third Street.

Police say he received a call on E-911 from a person with a gun and a large crowd.

An officer who arrived at the scene saw a man shoot at a crowd, according to police.

According to police, this officer fired his service weapon three times. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.

There was no immediate word on the identity of the killings.

Seven of the victims were taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where one was pronounced dead on arrival.

Three other victims were taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. One of these victims was also pronounced dead on arrival.

Three other injured are being treated at Temple University Hospital.

There were no injuries to police.
