Two teenagers from West Sydney are in critical condition and a police investigation is underway after those attending a downtown birthday party were stabbed in the early hours of the morning.
Emergency services were called to Cleveland Street in Redfern around 3:45 a.m. Sunday after reports of a fight outside an authorized venue where a 22nd anniversary party had been held.
Three men with stab wounds were found nearby.
An 18-year-old man was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in critical condition with injuries to his abdomen. A 19-year-old man was taken to Sant Vicenç Hospital, also in critical condition, with serious injuries to his chest.
A third man, 20, was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital in stable condition with arm injuries.
“When paramedics arrived at the scene there was great concern for all three patients, especially the teenager who was unconscious and bleeding heavily from his abdomen,” said NSW Ambulance Inspector Dominic Wong.

Superintendent Rodney Hart, of the South Sydney Police Area Command, said police had originally attended the area closer to 3am following reports of a fight, but no they detected crimes. However, they were later warned of the three injured men at a nearby location.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident. The injured men were all from west Sydney, Hart said, adding that it was believed that everyone involved knew each other and that there was no continuing danger to the local community.
