Two men arrested after finding the body in the Glass House Mountains of Queensland

Two men have been charged with the alleged murder of Sunshine Coast woman Donna Howe after a body was found this week in a remote bush in the mountains of Glass House.

Police confirmed on Tuesday afternoon that two four-wheeled drivers had found human remains on a track at the popular tourist and hiking site.

The body was severely decomposed and was sent for forensic examination and identification.

Researchers initially said there appeared to be marks of carbonization on the bones, but this could be due to decomposition.

It was unclear if the body was a man or a woman.

Police now believe the remains belong to 57-year-old Howe of Caboolture.
