The Uvalde Police Department and the Uvalde Independent School District Police Force are no longer cooperating with the Texas Department of Homeland Security investigation into the Robb Elementary School massacre and the state’s review of the state. law enforcement response, several law enforcement sources told ABC News.
Uvalde’s police chief and a spokesman for the Uvalde Independent School District did not immediately respond to ABC News’ requests for comment.
According to sources, the decision to stop cooperating came shortly after DPS Director Colonel Steven McCraw held a press conference on Friday during which he said the delay in police entry into the classroom it was “a wrong decision” and contrary to protocol.
