After 67 blind auditions, only one artist was left as the winner of The Voice Australia 2022.
They competed for the title Lachie Gill of the Rita team, Thando Sikwila of the Keith team, Jordan Tavita of the Guy team and Faith Sosene of the Jess team.

On Sunday night, Australia voted for the winner: Lachie Gill.
Lachie, 24, has won $ 100,000 in awards and a recording contract with Universal Music Australia.
“From the beginning, never, never, never would have expected this from me and I’m blown away. Thank you so much,” Lachie said.
A jubilant Rita added: “My face hurts! This is amazing and I think this is just the beginning for you. ”

Lachie earned a spot on the Rita team with her blind audition for JP Saxe’s If The World Was Ending.
The artist went further and reached the grand finale with his powerful performance of Good 4 U by Olivia Rodrigo.

Before being crowned winner on Sunday, 7Entertainment talked to Lachie about what it would mean to win The Voice.
“Never in a million years did I think I would get this far in the program, so having a chance to win makes me headaches,” Lachie said.
“Not only would award money change my life a lot, but signing up with Universal Music is an opportunity I won’t take lightly.

“I’m totally ready to make a name for myself in the music industry, so having the support of a label would be a dream come true,” he continued.
“Regardless of the outcome, I’m very grateful for the opportunity this show has given me.”

Lachie went on to detail the important lessons her coach Rita has taught them throughout her trip to Voice.
“The most important thing for me was confidence and belief in my own ability,” Lachie said.
“I don’t have the biggest and best range and I can’t play the high notes, but when I sing it comes from a pretty deep place and that’s what people resonate with.”
The artist admitted that he was “surprised” by what he was able to do on the show.
“I felt more comfortable every time I went on stage, and I think a big part of that was the confidence that Rita and the music team instilled in me,” she said.
