A woman has died after being attacked by dogs at a home in Liverpool.
Police confirmed the woman, believed to be in her 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene and her next of kin have been contacted.
The incident happened in St Brigids Crescent, Kirkdale, at around 4.25pm on Monday.
Detective Inspector Gavin Mulcahy, of Merseyside Police, said: “We understand the shock this incident will cause in the local community and beyond.
“Our officers are at the scene making further inquiries so if you have any information please let us know.”
