One person has drowned and two more are missing after a boat capsized at Spray Lakes Reservoir near Canmore on Sunday afternoon, according to police.
The Canmore RCMP responded to a report of a boat capsized with four people near the Spray Lakes camp around 2 p.m.
One person was able to swim to a safe place. Two are still unknown and one has been confirmed dead.
Kananaskis emergency services, Alberta conservation agents and the RCMP continue their research efforts. The RCMP is asking people to avoid the area.
Police have not revealed the identities of the sailors.
