1 dead and 7 injured in a shooting at Memorial Day in Oklahoma

One person was killed and seven others were injured after a shooting broke out during a Memorial Day festival in Oklahoma.

About 1,500 people attended the festival in Taft’s Old City Square, Oklahoma, about 45 miles southeast of Tulsa, when the shooting took place early Sunday, according to a statement from the Taft Bureau of Investigation. the state of Oklahoma.

Witnesses told investigators the shooting broke out after an argument shortly after midnight, authorities said. Among the injured were two minors.

The Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office attended the event and immediately provided assistance to the victims, authorities said. The identity of the dead victim has not been revealed.

No suspects have been arrested, authorities said. Officials ask anyone with advice to contact the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
