Melissa Fumero and JB Smoove are about to brighten the day for many TV stars.
Starting at 11:30 a.m. ET, the featured Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Curb Your Enthusiasm, which will soon appear in the Netflix Blockbuster work comedy, will reveal the nominees for the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards, which will air live Monday , September. 12 at 20:00 ET / 17: 00 PT on NBC. No host has been announced yet.
NBC, whenever it is the turn of the Emmys host, moves the ceremony to a Monday night to avoid a possible conflict with its well-regarded Sunday Night Football. The last time NBC hosted the biggest night on television (September 2018), Michael Che and Colin Jost of Saturday Night Live were co-featured and the broadcast averaged 10.2 million total spectators.
The audience for the 2021 Emmys (presented by Cedric the Entertainer of The Neighborhood and broadcast on CBS) had an average of 7.4 million viewers, 16 percent more than in 2020 (the first broadcast of the era of the pandemic) and thus put an end to seven consecutive years of fairly steady decline.
