2022 US Open Leaderboard – Live coverage, golf results today, second round country club updates

A second round of 3 under 67 has catapulted world number 1 Scottie Scheffler to co-leader of the 122nd US Open when the afternoon wave begins to play. On Friday, struggling to get out of the gates, the Texan caught fire in the middle of his new back and played a four-hole stretch in 4 under, marked by an eagle on par-5 14th.

Scheffler now finds his name alongside Nick Hardy, who has signed for the 69-68 rounds. Four more men occupy the top of the standings and have yet to start their second rounds, including four-time main champion Rory McIlroy. After the successful defense of his Canadian RBC Open title, the Northern Irishman was almost flawless on the road to what was a bogey-free first round … through 17 holes.

McIlroy will look to beat Scheffler with a strong second round, as will those just behind. Jon Rahm, Collin Morikawa, Will Zalatoris and Max Homa were able to play with the red numbers with their performances on Thursday and expect more of the same this afternoon. With a lot of action yet to be developed, these game titans are sure to claim this championship.
