Officials say they are aware of several dead horses still lying in the ditch near the intersection of Highway 40 and the Trans-Canada Highway.
The three dead horses are on the east side of the road.
Volker Stevin is in charge of removing the carcasses.
The company confirmed with CTV News that it can’t do anything until the horses’ owners are identified and notified.
A spokesman said the horses are not on the road and should not be a danger to traffic.
The horses died on Saturday after being hit by vehicles.
