Police have identified a man who was shot and killed in Surrey, BC, over the weekend.
RCMP said 37-year-old Troy Michael Regnier was shot multiple times outside a home in the 16600 block of 19th Avenue around 11pm PT on Saturday.
First responders found Regnier injured outside the home, but he later died of his injuries.
“We are urging anyone who knew Mr. Regnier to come forward and speak with police,” wrote Sgt. Timothy Pierotti with the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT), which is leading the investigation.
“Investigators continue to work to determine a motive. This is believed to be an isolated incident and does not appear to be related to the Lower Mainland gang conflict.”
