PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) – Philadelphia police are investigating after a woman was found dead inside a residence Sunday afternoon.
The discovery was made around 1:09 p.m. at block 4200 Houghton Street in the Roxborough section of the city.
Police say a 96-year-old woman was found in the living room with severe head and body injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sources tell Action News that the victim’s own son has been arrested and is being questioned in connection with his mother’s death.
The circumstances of the homicide have not been revealed.
