Three men have been arrested for their alleged roles in an arms supply union in west Sydney.
A 26-year-old man and a 27-year-old man were arrested after police carried out search orders in Austral and Whalan in the early hours of today.
The bail has been denied.

A third man, 26, was arrested in Mount Druitt and is expected to be charged.
During the searches, police confiscated a “22-caliber pistol, a Jaeger AP 15 semi-automatic rifle and a shortened Vanguard 308 rifle.”
Police allege the men were involved in a union organized to sell firearms in south-west and west Sydney.
Acting Superintendent Detective Stuart Cadden alleged that the group used encrypted messages to sell different weapons.

He said the union was discovered after investigating a shooting at a public place outside a gym in Prospect last year.
Four men have been charged with their alleged role in the shooting.
They are in front of the courts.

Cadden believes there are other men involved in the union and issued a stern warning.
“Come to the local police station and save us time, let’s pick you up,” he said.
“We will make your life very miserable.”
Investigations are continuing and more arrests are expected by police.
