Police have identified a suspect in an alleged intruder and subsequent sexual assault that occurred in Surrey, BC, over the weekend.
Surrey RCMP says they are looking for Matthew Christopher Hamm, 43, and are asking for the public’s assistance in helping them find him.
Officers were called to the 12900 block of 101A Surrey Avenue at 6:40 a.m. PT on May 21 in response to a reported break and entry.
The woman living in the house told police she had been sexually assaulted by a man she did not know. She was taken to hospital where she was treated for injuries that did not endanger her life.
According to the RCMP, Hamm is five feet 10 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds with curly gray and black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue shirt, jeans and dark runners.

The Surrey RCMP asks anyone with information to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
Anyone who sees him should call 911, and police say not to approach him.
