A 34-year-old man is facing charges after crashing his truck on the Salmonier line.
Shortly after 2:00 PM on Wednesday afternoon, police responded to a crash on the Salmonier Line where a truck had a near miss with an oncoming vehicle, veered onto the guardrail and rolled off of the road Police spoke to the man who showed signs of being intoxicated. He provided breath samples that were three times the legal limit.
While in custody, police learned the man was also involved in a rear-end collision near Deer Park shortly before his arrest. He fled the scene of the accident without stopping.
The man faces charges of failure to remain at the scene of an accident and impaired driving. He was released to appear in court at a later date. His vehicle was impounded and his license was suspended.
